Throttle position tuning with a power commander III [not usb]

I an trying to set the throttle position with my power commander and have only been half successful. My PC-III is the non usb type ans the utility to set the position is very limited. I have managed to get the closed position set to 0, % but cannot for the life of me figure out how to set the open position. I am using a serial to usb adapter, so i guess my next step is to try the usb program and see if it lets me use it. Then I need to find a cheep gauge to sync the throttle bodies. My right hand has been going numb since i put the PC-III on and it shakes just a slight bit.

Any PC-III software experts out there with some advice? =]

I would try giving Dynojet a call. They might be able to help. I don't know anything about tuning a power commander yet.

I got it. It was so simple i feel stupid...

New question though...

If I set the closed position to 0% as it should be, does setting the 100% question slightly less than full open [so basically full throttle would then be 120% or something like that.] throttle do anything? will it send more fuel sooner etc? or would I then just be screwing with what the PC_III is trying to accomplish? It certainly seems to rev faster that way. but i do not want to hurt anything...

Setting the 100% too early will cause the map to run out of adjustment while the engine still has throttle to add. You set the pc3 to read 100% when your really only at 95%, what are you going to do to set fuel when you actually go to 100%?
