i noticed that I was leaking a very small amount of coolant the other day. It hit me that there isn't an overflow tank so the bike just throws it out, which is cool by me. But why are there three hoses? I imagine only one is to rid the extra coolant. If so what are the other two for?

 

should be a fill/overflow tank, if not you need one. Coolant under your tires wont be a fun experience. 1 hose is from the overflow tank, 1 is from the overflow in the gas tank, and the 3rd one I think is from the airbox.

 

Thanks. There is a fill tank, I just read that there isn't an overflow tank. So your saying the the overflow gets routed back to the fill tank? I guess I'll have to look further into it. It is only a really small amount, I've checked the tank religiously since I bought it. Haven't had and odd cooling issues either.

 

The hose for the coolant comes out of the top of the coolant reserve tank.

The other two hoses are both from the gas tank. One is the overflow, another is a breather.

 

Also check where the main reservoir hose meets the radiator. It can leak off there too.
