thinking about getting an 01-03 f4i
#13
from what i hear from everybody the F4I was a comfortable bike. i own a 2011 ninja 650r parallel twin sport bike (very comfortable), and i cant wait to get this 2001 f4i running, i've wanted a more aggressive riding position after putting 13k miles on my 650r.
after hearing alot about the f4i i dont think you can go wrong, although just sitting on it
im still thinking i need some rearsets a few inches up and back.

I've only ridden a handful of different bikes, but I've never thought the F4i tranny was clunky.
Besides the CCTL, FPR, and a couple other common issues (what vehicle doesn't have even a short list), they're pretty solidly built. Some things I really like about the F4i is that it's not really a true thoroughbred sportbike. It feels powerful and nimble like one, but you can ride it for extended periods of time without too much discomfort. Also, I think it's one of the better looking bikes on the road.
