Is there away to fix it?
So in September I went down on the bike. Now the exhaust muffler has some good scratches all over it. Is there away to repair them? I thought almost seeing if somebody could wrap it in cf or would that melt off? Curious on ideas.

depending on scratch placement... shorten it.. and what is your pipe? aluminum, titanium, stainless, cf?
most aftermarket companies sell replacement exhaust sleeves, you just have to do the work of drilling out rivets and re-doing it.
Its a D&D standard chrome pipe. Guessing either aluminum or stainless steel.
Thanks maybe ill e-mail D&D asking if they have the outer sleeve. |
u could polish it out depending on the depth of the scratches, or u can cf vinyl it if u want but get something that can take the heat
Your one step ahead of me. I thought about the cf wrap but can it handle the heat? Were would you send it off to get it done? Can't think of any were cheap.
