Ok, lets think about this one.

If you have to take out the loan, it means you can't afford to fork out the cash all in one shot.

So now you ride something you can't afford if you crash it.

That's just not smart.
Who said anything about a loan???? My girlfriend is Italian...they don't even know what loans are over there. She almost didn;t want a loan when we bought the frigging house!!!! LOL.... No...I was saving up...6 months, remember??? Plus we already had spare cash...she's a freak. She's been saving money since she was 5. LOL...

That was in reply to kup125's post.

In the US MOST finance companys require you to carry full-coverage insurance.

Dude if you aren't engaged, tell her to **** off. If she is that controlling, it may be a sign of bad times ahead.
Yeah...we're engaged..plus I'm in me 30s. Anyways..I love her...shes sweet usually...just has this fiery temper...LOL... Also, I'm scared of her brothers...they come from Napoli...LOL....hey you can;t blame her....most of that money in the bank came from her...as I said....she has been freakily saving money since she was a small girl. LOL

Maybe I'll start off on a 250...insurance should be better.

well i got my 5,500 loan for 3 years. full coverage insurrance for 1 year alone was 3,200... at that cost a year i could have bought 2 bikes and modded both of them out. so if i wreaked one i coulda just trashed it and used the other. That doesnt seem very practical does it?

and by the way, i just had a spill on my bike doin 65mph(yes i was being an idiot doin a wheelie) and only did about $1000 damage. $500 of that would have been the deductable for my insurrance company then they would have paid for the rest and jacked my rate up another $500 for the year. so whats the point?

insurance companys are a fraud for young ppl

Maybe you could get a Vespa and put in a 75cc big bore kit with nitrous. I hear they push close to 12 horsepower. Seriously, tell your fiance that she needs to get a 2nd job so you can get a bike, if not, tell her you are gonna get a gummatta instead.

still doesnt make sense to pay more for insurrance then u do for the bike... and if i had full coverage and wipped out doin a wheelie, i wouldnt claim it on my insurrance anyways...but i guess im just one of those type of ppl who dont abuse the system

Yep, but it would still suck to total something and not be able to ride while you are still making payments.
