Targa solo cowl...

I'm looking at this for my next cosmetic upgrade for my F4i.
Just wondering if anyone has these and what their opinions about them are.
For $180 bones I want to make sure they are good.
Is there much or any modification involved to install?
I'm guessin that its a seat replacement and not just a cover like the 06' banana seat.
Thanks for any and all imput!

Yea I hear ya.
I'm still a bit iffy about the $180 price tag.
Still, it looks pretty nice and if the product is solid I'd like to get one.
Still wondering if there is any modification needed to slap it on.

You shouldn't need any mods to make it fit, and that is one hefty tag for a visual mod :)

You sure? I had heard about repositioning the lock bar or something like that.
I'd like to know if I have to drill, weld,or anything like that to make it fit.

Visual mods are my thing, could care less about performance, I use my bike to commute, not do track days. Just my preference of motorbike use.

Ahh, sorry, haven't heard anything about the lock bar, but then again I only considered this mod until I looked in my wallet lol. Not dissing your preference, I commute about 85 miles a day on my F4i, stock as the day it rolled off the assembly line.

Yeah, they look good but IMHO, not worth the price. For that money, you could get a nice race tail. Nevertheless, if you've got money to burn, then by all means... ;-)

Yup, they sure are pricey.
But damit, they look friggin slick.
I'm hoping someone here has one so I can get a consumer opinion on this badboy.
Thnx for the replies.

Ive seen alot of people here on the forum have it by seeing pictures of their bike.. id say knowing targa you shouldn't need to modify anything.. if you did that would be silly because you could no longer use the stock seat. Ive been wanting to get one of these but they are pricy and im not sure how often i would use it.. the wife has started a new hobby.. doubling with me. =p

Yea, well thats exactly why I want to find out if there is any need for modification, I'd like to keep accessibility to my passenger seat for whenever I feel like 2 up riding.
Would you happen to know who owns one?
I could maybe PM them for some more info.
