Does anyone have a good starting point for the torque on the bearing adjustment nut for taper rollers on the head bearings?

I'm looking at page 1-15 of the CBR600F4i 01-03 service manual and it says:
- Steering bearing adjusting nut: QTY 1, Thread Dia 26mm, Torque 25Nm
- Steering bearing adjusting nut lock nut: QTY 1, Thread Dia 26mm, Torque N/A
- Steering stem nut: QTY 1, Thread 24mm, Torque 103Nm

Details on how to do are provided on pages 13-29 --> 13-33 of the service manual.

 

Thanks, I have the manual but I believe that torque setting is based on the original factory bearings, not taper rollers....?

 

I think for tapered bearings, you'd have to go with recommendations from some place like All *****.

 

Ended up setting by feel, but then found a kgf spec for preload in the manual, just been out and set closer to that...
