Tach has no backlight?
 

I just got my first bike 06 F4i and the tach backlight is out. It has a white face gauge for the tach if that matters. The needle is lite but not the face. What could be the problem just a simple blown bulb or what?

First thing that comes to mind is a lose wire. Have you checked all your connections to make sure they are good? You said it has a white face. I am assuming the PO did this. Could be that when he did it or had it done they didn't hook/solder something correctly inside the gauge. If all the wires are good then you might have to open up your cluster.

I have not checked yet but I will later. Yes as fare as I know the PO did it. I'll check for loose wires and if I have to I'll open up te cluster and see if there is anything loose. Thanks.

Ok so i checked the wires and connections and everything seems to be fine. I did find some random wires that i have no clue what they went to and also this little box thing mounted to the fairing between the headlights. It has wires coming from it but its not plugged to anything.
