Default T-rex front triple tree and F4i question

Hello all,

I tried searching through the forum and couldn't find these answers, but, does anyone have the T-rex front triple tree stand an are using it with an F4i that could help me out.

My question is, to use the front triple tree adapter, do you have to remove the front fender and side plastics to prevent bending or cracking? Does it interfere with any of these plastics, because I don't want to bend or crack any of these when I try to use the stand for the first time. I won't be using my stands for a couple of weeks, but I just want to know so I can be prepared. I've read on the forum that you have to unbolt the horn and move it out of the way, and that's all I could find.

And, what hole do you use for the height adjustment of the triple tree adapter? (i.e. middle hole, 2nd from top, top etc.).

Thanks.

I've used mine. I placed a towel on the front fender to prevent scratching. For the upper, it puts a little pressure on it but doesn't damage it. I don't remember what holes i was using but nothing got damaged.

I used mine one time and it didn't damage anything but it did press on upper until it was lifted all the way up.

Yea i wrote a review on this. It didn't press on the upper for me at all and if you read the directions it tells you that you can adjust the pin a bit higher and then tighten the hex screw. Me personally i have no problems hitting the upper or the fender. i just put my hand under the pin and lift.

Thanks.

I was just wondering. My triple tree adapter came with the adjustment pin in the second from the top holes and was wondering if that is the best. I don't really care for how high it puts the bike, but just didn't want to have any obstructions when I try to use the stands.

I'll play around with the stands and the triple tree adapter soon.

Thanks again.

Believe it or not, the T-Rex stands front triple tree adapter that I just purchased is a different design.

My front triple tree adapter can be adjusted. Here is what I just purchased:

http://t-rex-racing.com/catalog.php?...Fcategory%3D46

And yours bluejay511 looks like it is just at maximum height compared to mine:

It looks like all of T-rex's stands now have a curved triple tree adapter design instead of the square design.

Well, I'll post some results when I start to use them.

Thanks again everyone.
