swingarm pivot

Hey..

please dont ask why but I have to swap out my swingarm piviot bolt.

Is this something I can do?? I bought a cage from a friend and one of the mounting points is a long bolt that goes thru the whole swingarm bolt but the swingarm bolt had to be modified a little. hes said modifying it was real hard so i'm just gonna swap out mine for his.

easily done??

THanks

that doesnt sound right....

But no its not hard to do. You will need (or make) a socket for it tho. Unblot the shock, rear wheel, etc.

What cage did you get that you need to do that with?

chetman7 09-17-2009 01:09 PM

my bad...not a cage...its a used set of powerz race railz

cageless 09-17-2009 01:14 PM

race railz should be no where near the swingarm..:icon_doh:

So lets say that the bolt closest to the tail does bolt upthere.....where the hell is the front bolted onto???? looks like its on the frame itself. I could not look for any references b/c that is the only pic of an f4i with railz

even in that pic (the stunta), its not the swingarm bolt. IMO I wouldnt use if it mounted to the sw bolt, thats just bad engineering.

chetman7 09-17-2009 07:44 PM

In the picture of the stunter...what is that area bolt palce called thats closest to the tail???

The previous owner said it came without diirections so he winged it. I lined up the engine bolt with the slider side and it only matched up with one bolt..so i figured..

I've called powerz multiple occasions for help but they have yet to get back to me.

HEYYYYYYY its my old bike... Haha... Nice find. Here is the new one with it! You will have to drill out the once side because it tapers down.. Dont worry i have done it to two bikes and matt powers had done it to hundreds now and it doesn't hurt a thing.. I have dropped my old one a few times stunting and never had a problem with it.
