Default Swingarm fitment??

I am thinking about switching my swingarm from a 2002 to a 2003 version. Has anyone done this or will it work because i like the 2003 versions much better.

The swing arm is no different between 02 and 03. The only swing arm changes during the F4i's reign is it changed from black to silver in 2004.

lol, might have to explain better......there is no difference in anything, specially from 02-03. like aken said, the only difference is in 04 and throughout they changed color.

You should specify that you want to switch to a swing arm from a different model next time

It can be done, with not much work. Do a search for"600rr swingarm conversion" and you'll find a bunch of info.

ohh, yea that will work. I thought about it, but for the money, I can think of some other stuff to do first. I know you have to get the swingarm and a new chain w/ the added length. Doesnt seem too hard at all, little easy fabrication and a couple hundred dollars.

Do like Aken said and search, there is a very nice write up on here somewhere. If you do it, post some pics and tell about the install.

do not use a 06 RR swingarm, anything prior will work. The 06 up I think it is has the top shock mount casted with the rest of the swing arm. Prior it isnt n thats the one you need because you have to grind a lil off each side and turn it around so you can mount a 1000RR shock (600RR's reservoir will hit the subframe). Other than that it all you need is some tubing to make bushings for the axle (3 total) unless you use the RR wheel and axle too. I think I posted up when I did mine with a nice list of parts needed as has others. Looks tons better and mine doesnt handle any worse.
