Suspension Settings Here!!

What suspension rebound settings is everyone running?

I know you can adjust the front and the rear, but I haven't tried yet. Does anybody know the stock settings?:icon_teeth:

word..I would like to know that too....the guy I bought my bike from was at least 250 lbs..and I'm only like 140..I dunno if he messed around with it..def will ride better with stock settings

there is no settings its how far it travels 2 people that weigh the same will have different setups. its all about where the rider sits were his/her weight is like uper body, mid, lower. if i remember right the rear should only travel 37 mm from when there is no load on the strut to when you sit on it. this is only changing spring rates no dampening ect but my rear is maxed out and im at 200 lbs and the front is passed max but good enough for street use new springs for the front are like $109 each.

The first thing you need to do is set the sag, which will vary along with the riders weight. Here are a couple good reads:

I just went and looked at my bike. I found the rear preload, rebound, and compression, and I found the front rebound. Now that I've read those 2 links Roland posted I'm going to hunt down the other 2 front fork adjustments.

Right now all of my rebound and damping settings are set to about 5 clicks or halfway. On the top of the front fork you can sort of see a marking for the stock setting in between the S<-->H things.

I don't have a spanner wrench to adjust preload. Those articles don't really suggest what good street settings are for rebound and compression...:icon_look:

On the F4i the rebound setting is at the bottom of the forks. Compression is the small one on the very top and the preload is the 14mm.

I've found the rebound to be quite inadequate. Therefore I have it set full in. My preload is set on the 3rd line so that 2 lines are showing out of the top of the forks. I believe factory has it set to 4. my compression is set to 1/2 a turn out from full. this is all for the front.

btw, I'm 5'10" 160lb.

Oh, and I was on the racetech website looking at spring rates for the forks... Their charts said the stock f4i spring rate is something like .660 kg/mm. They recommended for a 160lb rider to have a spring rate of .85kg/mm. This leads me to believe that the stock springs are way too soft in the first place.
