Modding the banana seat subframe is more trouble than its worth if you're wanting to do a real split-seat swap. Not that it can't be done, b/c it has, but its really more trouble than its worth. There's just no need to re-invent the wheel, so to speak, when the F4i split-seat subframe is a direct swap & bolts right up. It just saves so much time & energy. <---Work smarter, not harder approach.

If you're really intent on modding a banana seat subframe to make it look like a split-seat, what I've seen guys at the track do - is to cut off the rear latch bracket of the banana seat subframe & attach a race tail cowl. You'll need to use a seat pad on top of the plastic for your front seat.

Good luck on your choice.
