i've only pulled the spark plugs twice and both times it wasa bitch. i think a spark plug socket is the way to go. its gotta have the rubber in it to grab the spark plug once its unthreaded so you can pull it out of the hole. i ended up using several combinations of extensions with the socket to find the right lengths so i could use the ratchet to break them loose and to tighten them. not to mention trying to get the tools in there because of the tight spaces to work in. what a pain, i feel ya!!

I've said it before, but you should pull and Angelina and adopt a six year old Indonesian girl...her chores could be to help you wrench on your bike! I haven't changes my spark plugs out, but I've heard it is a pain.

The socket for mine is in the little tool kit that came with the bike. The other trick I use is useing a long enough section of hose to unthread them and pull them out once they are loose, same to get thread started when installing.

I RECENTLY CHANGED MY PLUGS I'M PRETTY SURE IT WAS 5/8 SOCKET.A SWIVEL WOULD HELP TO ANGLE THE RATCHET IF YOUR USING ONE LIKE I DID.AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SPARK PLUG SOCKET WITH THE RUBBER GROMMET THEN GET A LONG MAGNET TO PULL THEM OUT.THE ONLY BIG PROBLEM WAS I HAD TO KEEP DISCONNECTING THE EXTENSION FROM THE RATCHET AND THEN FROM THE SOCKET TO PULL IT OUT OF THE HOLE.

Get the honda tool for removing the plugs, its a swivel head socket that you just turn with a wrench to loosen it and you can do the rest by hand.
Honda part number 89216-MAT-000 can get it from a dealer for like $10, makes it ridiculously easy
