Default stubby exhaust questions

So ive been told that the stubby "moto gp" style exhausts are bad for the bikes engine... is this true? also if not ive heard you need to tune the bike for it...what all is included with getting this exhaust? is it worth it? does having no backpressure take away from the power? thanks!

I have one. I rode with it on once and by with it on I mean without it on because it's a cheap piece of s**t and the clamp wouldn't work. So I just rode open header to see what all the fuss was about since it's the same thing essentially. Yes the bike will be down on low end power considerably. You won't really notice any top end gains, the fumes from the exhaust are much more prevalent and slightly nauseating. The sound falls just short of unbearable and at certain rpms the exhaust hit's a certain pitch that made my eyes water. Good notes - Rev matching while down shifting sounded awesome, if you like attention of any sort you're gonna get it. That's my take on the moto GP stubbys. (I rode like that for about a mile up the road and back)
