Not to thread jack, but does anyone know if Honda reccomends checking spark plug torque, at a given interval ??

Not that I know of. You torque it once and forget about it although it's probably not a bad idea to just check it everyone once in a while.

I wouldn't torque a spark plug either. Finger tight and then a quarter turn more.

the service manual has recommended torque values for the spark plugs. Its up to you to follow them, but the last thing you want is the spark plug to back out and strip the threads as it does.
