Still having issues, need help 01 F4i

Ok i picked up a pretty abused F4i, pulled it down to fix the tank and the fearings, and wiring. the guy before had it so low it ate through the undertail and into the back harness. of course he patches it with speaker wire and it runs, now i cant get it to do anything. so far i have replaced, the tank, fuel pump, back wiring harness, relays, ecm, and now the main harness. i installled the main harness tonight and the good thing is the FI light went out, its been on the whole time so i had a short in the main harness, bad news the fuel pump still dosent kick on and no spark. i have the service manual but i cant find the light that is staying on. the oil pressure light blinks, when the key is on, all the lights work, the neutral light works but the blank red light is still on. Is it a temp light? or something else?

its the light between the left turn signal and the neutral light. is there anything else i can check and where can i find the test harness to check all the sensors?

TIA

That red light is The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). It lights when the coolant is over the specified temperature and/or when the oil pressure is below normal operating range.

So it sounds like you may have a sensor disconnected. I can't tell you how to fix it, but hopefully that helps. Here's the Owner's Manual: LINK.

ok, i was misunderstanding the manual and was thinking the mil was the FI light. thanks, that will help me out.

ok, the FI light came back on, i had the front end upside down and when i flipped it back right the bank angle sensor kicked the fi light back on. i tried jumping the ecm to flash but it dosent so i cant find out what sensor it needs or where the issue is. does it with both of my ecm's so i dont konw where to begin. im about ready to just light it on fire. is there a way to convert it to carbs?
