"Sticky" throttle

So, tinkering around tonight with stuff in the garage, and working more on figuring out exactly what's up with my throttle. Once or twice while riding it got stuck on me, and it definitely takes a bit of time once released to completely let go. Same sort of thing when accelerating- it's manageable and I didn't notice till I started thinking about it, but it seems to "stick" or almost skip a few steps from zero to say, mid throttle rather than rolling smoothly.

Main thing I notice is the chain does need tightening- I knew this before dropping it, was planning on replacing it this month. This could be (and probably is) affecting accel/decel, right?

The chain could cause the jerky accelerating.

The grip is usually the main criminal when it comes to sticky throttle. So check it out.

Yeah we trimmed down the grip a bit and re-cleaned the bar, boyfriend took it out and said it's still a bit jerky. Thanks :) chain and sprockets are next.

Yeah, I read through that thread- thanks, it's a really informative one :) If the chain/sprocket replacement doesn't fix it we'll look into the PC thing.
