What are the advantages/disadvantages of a rotary style damper? Which is the better choice, hydraulic cyclinder or rotary style?

wow. functionally, im sure its helping, but i would of never guessed you would just twist some flat stock and call it good. no offense, but i would of tried alittle harder, and tried to mount it like traditional stabilizers at the top of the triple.

manufactures dont' put it up there for no reason.. it must function the best up there. i plan on getting a used GSXR soon, and trying to fab one to my bars soon. you've got my mind wondering.

the reason i put it there is because that is where they put it on the R1 and all the GSXR's so i thought it would be best there. why try and make something more complicated than it needs to be? it works as well as it could so i see no problem with that

are you serious? i was under the impression it was just below the tripple bar, attached to the top gas tank bolts. right up there.. kinda where aftermarket dampeners go. i stayed up a good hour last night trying to find where the location of gixxer OEM stabilizers are, looked and looked.. went onto gixxer fourms, but sincei wasn't a member, i had a hard time searching, and i dont think i was able to see photos either.. so oh well. but i defenetly interested in this mod.

is that flat stock aluminum? I would want something a little beefier tominimize the dreaded tank slapper.

now.. will all the plastics fit back in place? if i have to resort to this location, before i tear into it.. ide like to know before hand, if the fairings will be able to go back on, and still fit/function right.

it looks like flat stock steel. not sure what thickness, but it looks plenty thick. the reason its a bit shiny... it looks like he hit it with a wire brush, or a wire buffing wheel. if i did it, i would be sure to paint it, to eliminate rust.

that material looks plenty strong though.
