stator shot, FML
 

Hey guys, .my bike died on the highway out of nowhere. Towed it to the mechanic and he's saying the stator is bad and has a low output.

A new stator runs for about $300 here in Canada! But I found someone that is selling a used stator off an F4. Would it fit? would it have enough juice to power an F4i?

I'm a bit worried as $300 just for the part alone is killer. Mechanic said he couldn't test the regulator/rectifier until the stator was fixed...

Go to an online microfishe parts catalog and check part numbers for an F4 and an F4i and you'll have your answer.

I was able to install a 2000 F4 stator into my 2001 F4i, incase anyone else has the same question.
