Default Staton Cover Replacement! Need Help!

Im in the process of replacing my staton cover with a new chrome cover! What should i expect when removing the stock staton cover? Oil, lubricates moving parts? Has anyone replaced their cover before? Will i need anything specific for this install?Trying to get a feel for what to expect. Thanks guys!!

Stator cover you mean? as for what to expect...expect oil to drip out...plus you'll need a new gasket...some hi-temp sealant...you'll also need to know it will take a little force to get off because there's a magnetic force additionally keepin that thing on so a rubber mallet might help too....

Yeah you will lose a little bit of oil, so be prepared to fill it up a little bit more. Also like ^ said you will need a new gasket. I got mine at www.bikebandit.com really there's not much else to worry about, the bolts around the stator cover are supposed to be torqued to spec, but I just hand tightened mine and haven't had any problems. O yeah and remember to replace the wire that goes into the stator cover in its place before you put the new gasket on, otherwise you might have to tear the gasket to put it in place (You'll know what I mean).
