Default stater cover broke =(

Need help, recently laid down on left side on dirt area. stater cover cracked and not sure if any dirt got inside but I am sure it did. Is this as simple as it seems? just remove broken stater cover, clean inside and replace? I have not actually taken off anything as of yet, just trying to get an idea of how difficult (if it is) this will be. Will start working on the bike this weekend, need any help. thank you

yeah its pretty simple, just remove the bolts and it will come off. oil will come out tho so you might want to drain it first

I did the same thing to mine last year. Relatively easy to do. Getting the gasket to stay in place was a pain so I ended up smearing it with oil to make it kind of sticky. That solved the problem. Good luck

I used gasket sealer and applied some to both sides of the gasket, and it stayed in place. This made it a little easier. I also used some RTV silicone, for the stator wire.

Make sure if you use some if this stuff, that you are in a will ventilated area, because these products are very aromatically strong.

You can get them pretty much anywhere. I got mine from Ebay for like 3 bucks. Bike Bandit has it for $7.49. Your dealership should be able to order it. I would just go with an OEM gasket personally.
