Started polishing today
I have a couple of weeks off from work so i decided to start polishing my wheels and stator cover. Ive polished wheels before so no big deal, just time consuming. The only reason im polishing my cover is because it was scratched by the previous owner. Thinking about doing the frame, but i dont know if i want to tackle something like that... here is what i have done so far.

RE: Started polishing today
Aircraft stripper to get all the paint off the wheels and then i just clean up all the residue and start polishing the crap out of it. Mothers and a polishing pad. i use a drill with a pad on the end... your hand starts to get tired after awhile. as far as the stator i just started out with 80 grit to get all the rash out, then 180 so its some what smooth... then wet sand with 400 all the way to 1200. then repeat with mothers. looks pretty good i think here is a final pic of the cover and back wheel. front wheel ill save for tomorrow.
