you know instead of drilling holes for your spools, i read a post about a week ago where this guy put a rod through the rear of his axle, straight through, screwed some spools on the end, and there you go. No modification at all and a great setup. I tried to look for the post, but could not find it. maybe someone else will. Good luck.
haha that was me. i posted a link to it in the first post, but here it is again:

as far as the link you posted, thats where i got the idea for mine. those should be pretty safe to use. i think someone around here has them......

Axsys i just ordered both trex stands accord to your PM that you sent me. Cant beat 150 shipped and i got it in gold galvanizer.

If you could give me a quick tutorial on how to lift the front from the triple tree, my front is dropped about 1.5 and im planning on raising it back up which is why i bought the triple tree. After waiting 24-48yrs like said on there site, i emailed (Tom) and he wrote back within a couple hrs with my tracking number. I should be able to write a full review and with pics (im usually very very very picky when i buy things, and i tend to write real good reviews.)

congrats on buying the stands. they come with instructions that show you how to do everything. to lift from the triple, look at the bottom of your lower one. youll see i little hole right in the middle of it, close to the horn. loosen your horn to slide it out of the way, and then slid the pin on the stand into the triple, and lift. its pretty easy.

Axsys,

I'm looking at getting the Trex stands too.

I plan on buying the rear and front stands. Should I get the triple tree as a part of the package or is it a nice to have?

BTW - I have an 02 red/black F4i too!

996c2,

i would recommend the triple stand if it is in your budget. its only like $35 for the extra triple stand. $150 bucks for 3 stands is an amazing deal to me, not to mention that i use the front+triple stand (the triple stand attaches to the front so technically you have to use them together) more often then i use the front by itself. i would recommend these stands to anyone!
