Stands does this front stand work?
I have these stands. Last year when I started riding somebody told me it would be good stands for my bike(He had spools I didn't not knowing this so really its good for his bike). Well now I went from a F2 to a F4i. Will this front stand work? I know the rear wont since it needs spools but I don't think the front will work for our bikes? Let me know. Last year I just used a cherry picker to lift the front and just lifted the rear and put it on jack stands. She never moved

That front stand should work just fine.

Really since I did a no no and maybe its me. I just propped the front up with just the front stand and it seemed like it would have a hard time getting the front bolt out. Then again it was leaning a bit but that shouldn't have that much of a effect

Those stand that lift from the bottom of the forks like that do make it a bit difficult to get the axle out. But it is possible.
Also, you probably shouldn't only lift the front of the bike. It isn't very stable like that. It's better if you lift the back first and then the front. |
Ya i think your right DBEAU. It seems like it was about to hit the frame of the stand were its black. So if I were to get a rear stand it might be more balanced since it was leaning a good bit to the right when looking at it head on and while the bolt to get would would be on the left hand side.

Yea in all the directions ive seen with these stands, it says to never lift the front first always lift the rear. So yea, I wouldn't be doing that anymore unless you want to drop your bike.

I've seen those type/design of stands warp, bend, and collapse. Be very careful.
You can get rivet insert spools for your bike from PitBull (which has much better stands, but pricey). |
I have these:
