RE: Stand Question..
You NEED two stands. Do not place just the front up on a stand - that's asking for your bike to fall over.
Pitbull is the best brand as far as people will say. I have a generic set and they work fine. Ebay set will probably be fine, but remember you get what you pay for. Your bike is expensive to fix, so I'd invest at least $150 in a set of stands, if not more.

RE: Stand Question..
Vortex makes some nice stands, LP, and of course pitbull. For really cheap stands, check these out... http://www.handyindustries.com/shop/...mp;D=1&S=4 but you can't do fork work if they lift from the fork and not the triple.
You can tie your bike up to the rafters in the garage if you have one.

thats what i just did. i have a rear stand put the bike up on that and bought a come along and used two i hooks and chain to raise the bike up worked great. the parts to do it only cost $40

Yeah, ratcheting tie downs will raise it up but put some soft ties on the bike so you don't scratch it all up. make sure the bike doesn't roll on you either.

RE: Stand Question..
If all you are going to do is change a tire or adjust the chain then just go get yourself a cheap set of stands. I was worried about going too cheap but ended up spending $80 for both front and rear at Iron Pony. My bike sat up on the rear for a month with no issues. Really glad I didn't spend way a lot more than I needed to.
