Speed sensor replacement...looking for a How-To
Hey all,
I've been doing some reading around on the forums and it seems as though having problems with the speed sensor on the F4i's is a common problem. I seem to be encountering this problem as my speedo is intermittently (and sometimes not at all) reading my speed. I've come to the conclusion that it's the speed sensor as I have checked all the appropriate wiring and harnesses. So what I'm wondering is if anyone has come across a how-to for replacing the speed sensor on the F4i? With it being such a common problem I would assume that there has to be something somewhere. If any can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. |
all i can say is that its a pain in the ass. lol

Never actually done it but,you would have to get at it from the left side,it's behind the starter. If you need the sensor pm me I might have one around the garage.

the easyest way i found was un bolt the top subframe bults lay it on the back tire and move the over flow. i spent about 3 hours or so trying it from the left side and it was a bid no go for me.

Great...Sounds like it'll be fun trying to replace it:icon_doh: I can see it sitting on top of the transmission right in front of the rear wheel but it is just wat too tight to simply take out. I think it might be worth my while just to take it somewhere...thanks for the replies though.
