Spark Plug - Terminal Nut or Not
Hey everyone, I recently purchased a 2001 cbr600f4i that had developed the no start problem. The fuel pump was not priming. After going thru much troubleshooting, I found a disconnected wire at the ECM. Now the fuel pump primes upon turning ignition on, but I am getting no spark while cranking. I did get a trouble code 19 for ignition pulse generator. I have ordered a new one and have ordered spark plugs.
My question is: Should the spark plugs have terminal nuts on them? When I pulled the coils, they pulled right up without any resistance other than just a tad from the rubber boot inside the hole. The old plugs have no terminal nut, just the small threaded stem, therefore the coil doesn't really fit snugly onto the plug. It is just kinda loose with no "snap" or click when pushing it down over the plug. |
That's how they are supposed to be. No caps.

Okay. I wasn't sure. Just didn't seem right not having the coil snap snugly onto the plug cap/nut.
Thanks |
My coils have progressively stopped clicking when I do plug changes. Almost makes me want to buy new ones. Almost.
