I sold my faithful 02 F4i three days ago and picked up an 03 R1! I know I know lls, I had my eye on a 1000RR but it sold before I could get to it. I have to say though it is a huge difference between the F4i and R1 especially with the weight and handling. This thing rides like a dream!! I still love my Hondas and I miss my old girl daily but Im with team Yamaha now, SORRY GUYS!!! Here are some pics of the new lady in my life.

 

There was only one 1000RR for sale in your entire area? lol Its amazing how much the 03 R1 and R6 look alike, that thing is 100% identical to my girlfriends R6 with the exception of the front end.

 

Thats like saying my F4I looks like my friends 1000rr the 03 r6 and r1 look completely different. Congrats on the new ride my wife just sold her 03 special edition R1 and bought an 01 F4I. The 03 is a great looking bike the tail is one of the cleanest looking I have ever seen on a bike IMO.

 

ur wife sold a newer bigger bike to buy a smaller older bike? any particular reason for the downsize?

Usually when things share exact same paint jobs and overall lines a designer calls them similar. Something tells me yamaha was going for that. Also seems the yamaha in this pic looks awfully similar to his new R1.

 

Wow, $2.61 for gas. Those prices were nice when they were around.
