Soooo..

i was washing my bike today, and i heard the weather lady say around 9pm, we're gonna get alot of rain.. i'm off of work at 9, and have a half an hour commute home.. how ironic.. never ridden in the rain before, and i'll let you know how it goes!

but on to the reason i posted this.. as i was washing, i found a small flat spot on my wheel lip.. it holds air fine, doesn't leak, and doesn't seem to cause a problem when on the highway between 65 and about 85. i'm on the fence whether or not i should try to get it fixed/get a new rim, or live with it. input??

Thankss guys,

Evan

To be honest, I just don't know. I don't wanna take responsibility by saying that everything is gonna be fine. Post some pics of it.
You said that it doesn't leak any air, and that it doesn't give you any problems between 65 and 85. Is anything wrong when you are below or above those speeds?

If you didn't even notice before, it's probably fine for the time being. I'd get it repaired within a few months, or keep your eye out on a cheep wheel on Ebay or something. I wouldn't let it go for as long as you own the bike, but for the immediate future it'll likely be fine.

Disclaimer: You ride at your own risk, I hold no responsibility if your bike hurts you. :)

hahah you guys always give that disclaimer and it's always hilarious haha. i know it's not your fault lol. yeah i'll see if i can get it punched back out.

thanks for the input btw!

and 2H, no it doesn't give me any problems above or below, i can't feel it =/

I've got a bent lip on the front of one set of my rims for my race bike. It doesn't give me any problems and I'm running over 100 the majority of the time.

Junior2552 10-31-2009 08:47 AM

oh really?! thats good to know, i just don't want it blowing out on me on the highway when i'm going really fast. uber suckk..

Zero1080 10-31-2009 11:06 AM

^You mean the speed limit?!?!? ;) But like Aken said, I wouldn't let it go, but it's not vital to your daily commute.

(Disclaimer: You're on you're own if the tire blows, I take no responsibility ;))
