So, my fuel pump still isnt priming, what gives???
I made a thread about this a while ago.... and I've been working on it ever since. Waiting for parts in the mail, installing them, fail... try again. I cannot get this damn thing figured out.
DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW ANY OTHER OPTIONS FOR ME??? Here's what I've tried: -Checked all fuses -Checked all of my wiring... everywhere. I've gone up and down every wire on this damn bike looking for a short. -New Bank Angle sensor, and also tried to just bypass it as well. -New battery -New relays -New fuel pump -Checked my kill switch (I've had to resolder a wire in there before.) -Kickstand kill switch seems fine. I have no idea WTF is going on. Power works fine, bike will try to crank. The damn fuel pump just wont prime. If I connect direct 12v power to the pump, it does work. Both my new pump and my old pump DO pump like they should when I put direct power to them. The only other thing i can think of is if something went wrong with my ECU, but I REALLY hope not. Plus, if my ECU was going bad, would a few other things start to noticeably go out along with it? Hard for my to beleive this one issue all of a sudden came up out of nowhere with the ECU. I'm at a loss.. and ready to just give it to a shop and have them deal with it. But i feel like i've already invested so much damn effort and time into it, I wanna do the damn thing myself just to feel like i conquered it! Does anyone else have any other bright ideas I can possibly try out? |
Have you checked the diode in the ignition switch ? It's an anti-theft deterrent.

I haven't checked that, I don't even know where to find it. I don't think that's my issue though, because I still have power at my fuel pump plug. If my kill switch was the issue, wouldn't power be cut to that plug all together? I am however only getting about 10.5 volts at that plug when it should be 12. Idk what is drawing power from that plug.

What's your V into the fuel pump relay?

Read through this thread. It has a lot of good information on places to check, expected voltages and the conditions under which you should find them.
