I found this F4i at a used motorcycle place that gets all the bikes from the insurance companies. normally they are wreckd, salvage bikes, but while looking for an engine case for my brother, i saw this beauty sitting in the corner(sorry, the pictures are from me camera phone):






someone stole it and the police found it. the only thing that appears to be damaged is the ignition (someone jammed a screw driver through it, same thing happened to my buddys F3) there is some very minor paint chips on the fairings and it looks like its probably just from road debris. the guy said that it would most likely sell between $3000-$3500, and since it was stolen and not wrecked i *might* be able to get a clear title on it. i dont know the year or the miles, but hopefully i will find out soon when it goes for sale. wish me luck!

Congrats. on your find.......the info on the year is its a 2001 model...word on the street is its the more powerful model of the F4I's. and i would not pay more than 3500 to 4000 for it.....Hope you get a hold of it.you will enjoy its power..

 

damn, how could you tell it is an 01 as opposed to the 02/03 just from these pics? i've heard the 01s have more HP, so hopefully youre right. has anyone ever heard of that kind of exhaust before, a HMF?

Well Honda being the manufacturer they are.....Changes their color schemes Every Year on the 600's.......I have the same bike you show in the pic....great machine....And yes it does have more power...for the RR killer in my Sig.....I have a friend with a similar modded 2003 rr and i "spank" him every time we ride....

 

Yes it is an 01..mine has the same color scheme and mine is a 01 f4i

Do not pay over 3000 for that bike. For 3000-3500 you could find one with a clear title that's never been stolen and has no problems. Depending on where you live. Last year a guy in my F-body club was selling an 03 600RR for $3500. No that's not a typo. Tribal black with a jardine pipe, $3500 out the door. He only wanted what he owed. The only incentive to buy a bike from a place like that is the price. And if you don't get a damn good deal, it isn't worth it. Just my 02.
