Hi guys, I'm gonna buy some vortex frame sliders. I'm pretty sure that most of you have normal size pucks, but i see on the website that there is also a shorty version. I tried to serach and it seems that those pucks were designed more for the RR's which are located at a lower point on the bike. so what type of puck do you all have? the website says "Shorty Black plastic puck offers the least leverage for better frame and engine protection; this is preferred by those on the track."

any input here?

o and btw did you just buy yours off their website?

 

Hmmmmm, idk. i just bought the white ones lol. idk, i guess the "average" ones......

and yeah, bought them off the Vortex website.

 

I have the regular ones and bought them from www.motosport.com.

 

damien...you shoulda got them yesteryear! muahahah...

i wouldn't worry so much about leverage of the regular slider on the F4i. now if it was like an FZ-6 or SV650 then i would see how the long slider (compared to F4i, the sliders are much longer before making contact with the frame) would add more leverage for things to break.

i can see how the stubby would be convenient if you needed to change just the slider part out and keep the base intact.
