Okay so i am looking at 2 bikes one being a 2006 600 f4i 15k miles needs fork seals and nee chain everything else is stock on the bike. The other is a 2003 600rr with 43k miles but has new tires new chain and lots of upgrades. What would you guys get? I also am looking at a 2004 1000rr but that needs mirrors chain, some scratches etc..... All are priced at $2700 feel free to comment away all posts are welcome thank you for your time!

 

honestly if the prices were the same i would get the 2006 f4i and set it up the same as my 2001, because it is becoming my track bike and well 2 bikes is better than 1.
because i can only dream about joining WERA or something, (whats that? newer r6's will blow me away? we'll see..) hmm maybe i would get the 1000rr..
(but its a 2004, you know you really want a 2008+ 1000rr) kinda undecided..
which one would you get? i take it you are familiar with sport bikes the f4i is very comfortable for its power, unfortunately i've never rode any rr or litre bike.
im starting to lean towards that 1000rr its not that far off.. but honestly i think i would look for a 2008 one with a bit more miles or something near that price.

 

I think it depends on what you want. If you are talking looks, then I would go RR. I've never liked the banana seat style, but thats just me, maybe you do? I bought a split seat for 2800 that was in sound mechanical condition, so I wouldn't pay 2700 for a bike that you have to do a bunch of work to...

 

Ive owned 2 r6s one an 03 and the other a 99 i really dont know im leaning towards the 03 600rr due to its what i like the look the most the miles scare me tho..... The 1000rr wouldnt be bad because its a liter bike but needs some stuff for it. The 06 f4i is yellow which im sure some people love but i am not one of those people so i would have to do quite a bit to the f4i been looking all winter long so far this is the best deals on cbrs in va beach va area

 

Keep looking. Don't settle for something you kind of like.

 

ok here is a question... f4i willl give you a slight more upright ride than the RR's
makes it a little more comfortable to ride for longer rides.

then what style do you like more..







how long have you been riding??? new to it??? i started riding last year after getting comfortable i was already thinking about a bigger bike...
take that into account.....

are you going to try stunting? are you going on long rides???
go sit on them see what fits you the best...

any bike you get is going to require work....you will always be thinking what can you do to make it express your style...

go with your gut feeling and get the one you want

 

I am 23 i started riding when i was 18 and stopped a lil over a year ago when i sold my bike regret it everyday lol. I like the rr the tucked up exhaust is huge plus now do i buy the 1000 or the 600

1000rr is cosmetic chain is a easy fix
600rr sounds good but high miles... was it taken care of???

are you going to push your limits either way they are fast as hell so simply you think once you get the bike... do think you would try to make it faster for you ??? or are you a as-is rider the way the bike is is they way you are going to ride it....

you are more experienced than me but , do you think if you get the 600 you will be left desiring more strength???

1000RR is 458lbs with 171 HP at factory specs
600rr is 436.5lbs with 116 HP at factory specs

personally the 1000 is not much heavier so turns will still be comfortable as hell
i would go bigger if you are going to respect the power... if you are going to push it i would purposely hold yourself back but i always air on the side of caution main reason i went 600....

 

Dont settle for something your not 100% happy with, I was looking at a few bikes before I bought mine, I was looking at a few f4i's that had minor scratches from being dropped while stopped, they were 2nd and 3rd owners.

I ended up buying a 1,400 mile 1 owner 04 f4i, with full yoshi and a power commander.
I also bought a set of front and reat pit bull stands and just put on new michelin pilot power 2ct tires (originals were dry rotted). Bike is plenty fast for me, pulls up the wheel in 1st and 2nd without issues, love how comfy it is to drive. Some guys have 200k+ miles on their f4i's, have to serious about riding to put those kind of miles on it!
