Shorty low mount muffler.

I mounted up a shorty muffler on my F4i today.
It is a Yamaha GYTR muffler from a 06-11 R6. My buddy had it on his bike and went down so it had some pretty bad rash on it. I cleaned it up, slapped some paint on it and used a 35* mandrel bent pipe to install it. I think it turned out pretty sweet. Sounds awesome too. What it started as... That looks great man! Any clearance issues?
...I wonder if I could chop down my 2 bros and mount it like that :icon_shrug: |
As far as the clearance issue, it's about 1/8 inch away from the swingarm when it is fully extended with the rear tire off the ground and it actually pushes the fairing out about 1/4 inch.
It's pretty tight since there isn't supposed to be a muff crammed down there. |

looks good! Any sound clip videos? If you plan on selling the slip on that was on it, pm me.

Wow. Excellent job on the repair.

i really like that. i was wanting to do a gp style exhaust but that looks pretty good as well. any problems with how the bike is running? in terms of not having enough backpressure?
do you have a pcIII? |

do you have a pcIII? I am pretty sure there will be issues running that short of an exhaust as the f4i's engine was not designed for such a short pipe. Even if it sounds good, and runs good, you might get some nasty issues down the road... Just sayin... |
