setting cam chain tension

What's the proper way to set the cam chain tension for a bike with a manual cam chain tensioner? Just let it idle and turn in the screw until the rattle stops?

get it finger tight, then go another 1/2 turn. on f4i's its very difficult to adjust it while running.

Basically. Too tight will kill the chain, you don't want that. So start slightly loose if your unsure and go ride the bike. If you hear a rattle, tighten it up slightly and try again.
