Self-Adjusting Brake Lever?

Long story short -

For some reason, my brake lever for the front brake likes to adjust itself, as in it doesn't maintain the tension (for better use of words) that it's supposed to have, and the brake engage point has the tendency to change while riding.

I'm not sure if it's something loose with the lever itself, the lines, or what, but if anyone has experienced this before, please post up.

It's not that big of a deal, but I'd rather take care of it now before it becomes a true problem.

Thanks in advance,

Kyle

sure you dont need to bleed the brakes? The lever itself shouldnt change adjustment on its own.

There may be a little air in the lines, although I thought we did that when I first got the bike (granted that was awhile ago, but we did recently have them off while replacing the fork seals and bushings).

I'll have to check when I get home, though.

The little wheel thing is always tight, but then as riding/engaging the brakes occurs, it seems to loosen itself somehow.

Not a whole lot, but enough to notice.

Could be your break lines swelling with the heat try some braided lines

yea I have the same exact problem, I already bled the brakes and no change. If you find a way to fix the problem, shoot me a message Thanks

I'm gonna give the brakes a bleed, and maybe try a few other options.

Any suggestions on lines to get?

I'm sold on some stainless steel, just wondering who makes the best ones out there for our application.

Payday is Friday, and if I need to order some (and that's the problem solver), then I'm all for it.
