Default RR Engine in F4i?

Hi,
I own a 2003 F4i and I have a friend who is selling a low mileage RR engine from the same year for really cheap, I was wondering if RR engine would be of any use to me (either specific parts for upgrades, or if the engine would fit my F4i as a whole).

Thanks!

Nothing at all is wrong with my current engine, however it has 75,xxx KM's on it now and although its been as reliable as hell, I feel like it is getting up there in its life span.

So what I am taking from the responses is that there are no interchangeable parts between the RR and the F4i engines? What types of modifications would have to be done for a full engine swap?

its not worth it. you could just buy an f4i engine when(if) you end up needing a new one. i got mine for 500 shipped and it only has 10k miles on it. thats more than i wanted but for the price i couldnt beat it. and it runs great.
as for modifications, youd probably have to change where it mounts up in your frame. and then your airbox and youd have to make sure that your sprocket was in the right line and then your exhaust. but the main thing that wouldnt be fun would be to get it balanced back up again like yours is now.
but im not an expert in the subject so dont let me discourage you. if your up for the challenge do it. just know itll take some time, patience, and money, and more time
