Rivet style master link w/o tool
i look on YouTube to figure out who to put on the rivet style master link and everyone has the expensive style tool. is there a way to put link on without buying the special tool?
Buy the tool & kit. It pays for itself. CycleGear has the Stockton Chain Tool & Kit on sale $39.99 right now...STOCKTON TOOL COMPANY Parts & Accessories - Chain Breaker and Rivet Tool Kit - Cycle Gear

When i lived in Vietnam, people whack the link with a hammer. And it works for me. just lined up the spacers, and tapped it a few times with a hammer. otherwise, you can buy the link with that screws on.
Harbor Freight carries a chain breaker that can rivet the chain.
Heavy Duty Chain Breaker
That said, the aforementioned tool from Cycle Gear makes the job much easier. Get it while it's on sale, or you can buy a near equivalent from eBay for a bit more if you miss the sale.

I used a "screw on style" master link from solomotoparts.com and freakin love it.
