resonator removal
hopefully this doesnt come off as too dumb of a question. ive been reading and i tried searching and from what ive found the resonators are there to make the bike's intake quiet. i was wondering if anyone has done this before and what it sounded like afterward. i dont thiknk there is much performance gains if any. but the sound may be cool.
so who has tried it out? also just so i dont make 2 threads, will i be hurting my bike if i run a k&n and a slip on without a power commander? the bike feels like it would needs one bad, almost like its lost some of its low end. ill get that back wont i when i get a pc? or should i put the oem air filter back on? thanks for any input |
I've been running my bike for 4yrs with just a K&N filter and full MIG exhaust without a PC and its run just fine with no harm being done to the bike.
And as for the low end grunt your asking about, It is a 600 so it's not gonna pull super hard til you get your revs up. But with that said I regained a bunch of low end pull by doing the clean air mod to my bike. Here's a link from Stuntlife on how to do it. But the first instructions the guy who made the thread made a minor mistake that is explained in the thread, but it should answer all your questions.http://www.stuntlife.com/forums/443-...=Clean+air+F4i |
