Sorry, correction, WET sand the primer and base coat... I guess thats important to note.

Don't have to sand between coats but you'll never get the smooth finish if you don't... preference i guess.

Damn, I think I'm going to have someone to paint the stuff for me. I don't have enough space to keep all the stuff for painting.

Thx for your post ndf4i. Sounds like a lot of work and small details.

What i do is:

After all of the prep work, I do the primer, sand it, wash it, tack it, apply base coat, clear coat, sand it with 1000 and polish it.

Thumbs down

I DO NOT CARE WHAT ANYONE HAS TO SAY ABOUT MY REPLY, BUT REPSOL FAIRINGS ARE THE UGLIEST, GAYEST FAIRINGS YOU CAN PUT ON YOUR BIKE not only do they look terrible, most people don't paint their tanks to match. If you want to look like a "RACER," form your own team. With some good colors! Bunch of Nikky Hayden WANNABES

if you're going to use it, at least spell the name right. and Nicky Hayden actually races for ducati now. not sure if you were aware of that...

looks good. i was thinking about doing the repsol fairing also. i opted not to because i didnt want cheap plastics from china and i didnt want to wait a month for them to get to the states.

but when i was thinking about ordering, i was also planning on painting the wheels orange. small things like that will really bring out the bike. oh and there were some cheap honda repsol rim stickers on ebay i was planning on getting. it would have complimented the bike well.
