Looks great! I had a bad experience with ebay fairings. Who did you buy it from?

Sorry guys I hadn't checked on this post in a while, lots of questions.

1) As far as painting the tank. I got a pint of base and a quart of reducer. Sanded the tank initially with one of these where there was adhesive from decals (sand paper and adhesive don't go together). That got down to the metal then i filled in the small ding and used 400 to smooth out the whole tank.
Clean with thinner and go over it with a tac rag.
Primed with cheap light primer i got from lowes.
Wet Sanded the primer with some 800 grit until is was smooth. Clean & tac rag it.
Spray the base coat with a small touch up gun.
Wet Sand with 1200 grit, don't use thinner or alcohol to clean at this point, it will take off paint, just soap and water and tac rag.
Spray clear with touch up gun.

Done

2) The jardine exhaust sounds great. I like ti cause it's not as loud as some other pipes i've heard. My two friends have a D&D and vance and hines and they're both louder than mine is.

3) Someone did actually contact me about buying my fairings and after looking at them i don't think they're worth any money. They're all pretty badly scratched and some tabs are missing on some, etc... sorry.

4) No it didn't come with an undertail.

5) The guy i bought it from on ebay is selinamoto(i don't know if thats his exact name)... I think his exact name is somewhere in this post.

ibiggers - I live in Portland... If you're in Naples sometime we could get together. My buddy's grandmother has a place on little sebago and we take the bikes up there every weekend if it's nice. Let me know.

Thanks for all the good reviews, i'm gonna order some tape for the wheels right now.

I wouldn't sand the base coat. The base coat should be applied in light even coats. Just tack it off before spraying clear. Don't even wash it off again. When your prepping for the base coat you may want to just use wax and grease remover as well instead of thinner.
