I thought there would be two holes left on each side after the removal, but almost the entire bar recesses into the body so there is that size depression exposed when the bar is removed. It wouldn't be so bad if the exposed area was black like my bike, but it is silver under there.

Does anyone know if there is anything made to fit that space or what can I use to fab up something to fit there?

If you do, please post up the pics. I would be very interested to see how it looks.

I likethe appearance of the bikewithout the bar a lot, but the exposed area is a deal breaker.

I've thought of getting a machine shop to make a unique grab bar. I don't know how much it would cost, but I may check it out.

voodoo, if you do, keep me posted.

Also, what about having the rear bar powder coated black? What kind of places do that?
