Default Regrets and lesson learned!

So, here I sit, several months after selling my F4i, still scanning CL and FB for the "perfect" deal. Keep in mind, I've already bought a Street Triple AND a Speed Triple, neither of which worked out for various and sundry reasons. Came across this beauty yesterday - https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mc...508207390.html - and said to myself "Man, you effed up. Never should've sold her..." Now, that's not MY bike but same year, same beautiful color scheme, and way less miles. Am I tempted? Yes, I am... until I remember WHY I sold her in the first place, i.e. tedious fairing removal, approaching second valve clearance, suspension refresh needed, etc. So, after months of looking at used, I'm going to bite the bullet and see if I can't pin down one of a few 2022 XSR900's (hopefully in blue!) that've popped up (relatively) near me. I hate buying new but, at the same time, the inflated used market makes buying something with a warranty, a verifiable history, and no major service needed in the near future a pretty sweet proposition.

Anyway, just kinda wanted to vent/rant/confess a little... and say I do miss my blue beauty and have really enjoyed being a member here!

You’ll never have a dedicated track bike until you buy one.
See, I can help you rationalize this all day long

Very true, on both counts! Probably should get my youngest through college and work towards paying off my house... maybe...

College, pppffffttt. Who needs it.
Actually I know the pain of which you speak our youngest keeps going with no real end in sight. It’s so stinking expensive.

Nowadays (and as a former high school counselor), I wouldn't say that sentiment is wrong! So much need in the trades...

As for no end in sight, that was our oldest! She switched majors 4 times and finally, 6 years later, graduated this past spring! Whew! The youngest is sticking to her plan, though, so... fingers crossed!
