Recommendations for Brake Pads

I was looking at getting these: http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=934

Anyone have any recommendations, and/or is the premium worth paying for the higher priced model(s)?

Never heard of em. I went with EBCs.

Never heard of em either, but with STG they wont sell anything unless they would use (or do use) it themselves. I use EBC HH pads myself :)

There aren't many differences between most of the higher model brake pads.

Get OEM pads if you mainly commute and don't really need any fancy braking power. Otherwise these, or Galfer HH, or EBC HH are all good, more racing-inspired alternatives.

will galfer or any HH pads for that matter work well with stock rotors? or do you have to upgrade those as well?

Are you a racer? Those are RACING pads, and their performance will be vastly different from a standard pad. CL makes standard pads, but those are not. Racing pads tend to not perform well until they are heated and are not appropriate for use on the street. There is a huge difference in the extreme high end pads or racing pads. I run in the novice classes, and the high-end racing pads aren't good for me because I can't sustain the heat in them like the experts do.

I'd stick with OEM, Galfer or EBC for the street. Vesrah for a little better performance.

i was more curious then anything, i got galfer gg rated pads for my last bike and was very happy with them

true race pads you would need to get better rotors, but for the EBC, etc HH pads you wont.

the oem ones work good for me, i dont race tho, just around town and backroads

I'm running those right now and they bite HARD as soon as you touch the brakes. For track days I like the Vesrah RJL best, they have more of a progressive feel, lots of stopping power and wear well. Also, If you haven't done so in the last year or so, its a really good idea to change your brake fluid.
