Rear Suspension Ques

Rear Suspension Ques
Hey everyone,
I low sided my f4i and it slid rear wheel first into a curb at 25-35mph (really don't know). So I almost have everything fixed up and now i noticed the ride height is too low. The plastic part that is a 'stop' for the damper is sitting on the linkage.
How do I check ride height? Where is that measurement take from? How can I make sure the spring is bad? regardless of the spring, how do I know if the damper is bad? Easier to just replace both?
Have not been able to ride it since I'm waiting on a front sprocket replacement bolt. (yeah, it sheared in two in the hole but I got it out ). Hopefully the spring is the last casualty.
Thanks!

RE: Rear Suspension Ques
Anyone ever deal with Simpson Cycles LLC?

$35 to replace my rear shock/damper just seems too good to be true. Never know what happened to the bike this was taken off of. Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks
