Rear brake pads wear looks strange
Hi all, first post here! Newbie mechanic and new rider too! Just removing the wheels to change the tires out when i noticed the brake pads seemed to be worn at a strange angle... also the rear rotor looks to be a bit off? I used a caliper to see the diff and it looks warped? Any idea what could cause this?? Any helps appreciated! https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/cbrforu...d375f563f.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/cbrforu...07fa34206.jpeghttps://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/cbrforu...60d3cac18.jpeg |
Just to update... I've been informed it could be due to bad calipers? I'm thinking of just replacing rotors/pads/calipers... but before I go and do this job, I was hoping someone could shed some light into this and possibly let me know if there's anything I can do to rule out anything else as the cause?

Your pads show wear of a guide pin not sliding freely through the pad.

The pads should sit in a groove on the bracket with a metal piece of hardware. The pin is that rod that goes through the holes on the pad. Make sure that the pad slides easily on the pin and bracket. A little brake lube to help them slide is a good idea.
