Rattling problem between certain revs?
 

I notice on my 2001 F4i that between 5000-6000 revs i get an ugly rattling noise.
Its nothing major, just doesnt sound very good, its like theres a plastic piece loose down by the engine, but i cant see or feel anything obvious when i look myself.

Is this common? Am i being paranoid?

I haven't replaced mine and don't plan to. Lots of guys on here have some fairly high mileage on theirs without having replaced them. They are ANNOYING though!!
