Random Hose
 

I was changing my oil this morning and I noticed that I had a hose, nicely tucked away, that wasn't connected to absolutely anything. I spent about 30 minutes trying to find where this hose could be connected, but I only succeeded in becoming more frustrated.

The hose is directly in front of the shift lever, and isn't really that long, so I figured that it has to connect somewhere in that vicinity. I tried following it up to where it originates, but I couldn't really follow it.

It doesn't have any of the familiar signs of having been connected anywhere, and when I run her, nothing comes out. I have noticed that my coolant level is very very very low, so I'm afraid that it's coming from there, but without a destination to connect it to, i'm at a loss a to what I should do. Could someone shed some light?

There's three hoses that hang loose towards the bottom of the left side fairing. They are designed to be there, and are coolant overflow, fuel overflow and fuel breather tubes.

So it's supposed to be disconnected? Sweet, thank you:).

But there are supposed to be three? I only find one.. Would this be an issue for concern?

Should the lack of coolant be a huge concern, or should I just refill?

Oh, and btw, your bike is the reason why I want to paint my bike white:P

There should be three, yes. It's possible they're just routed somewhere else on the bike mistakenly. If they're hooked up to something on the end, well, that would be a worry. The coolant one is easy to find - it's comes out of the top of the coolant reservoir. The gas ones you can find by removing the gas talk bolts on the top/bottom, and lifting the gas tank up.

Lack of coolant is a small worry - you should try to refresh your coolant in the near future, making sure you have an optimal amount in the radiator and reservoir.
