there was an article that axsys found a while back and posted on here. i believe i actually saw on the article the f4i is about 108hp. w/ a little extra mods i am pretty sure you'll beat it him. but let us know how it goes and good luck!!!![Big Grin](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I have seen a weak run on an F4i of 85hp, but most of the bikes were running 95... and I did see one pull an honest 103hp (all on the same night, same machine).
You've got a serious weight advantage - and you've also got a serious gearing advantage. You'll pull to top speed in 3rd, maybe 4th on that run. First gear can be ridden out in literally 2.5 seconds maybe 3 seconds.
If you get a good launch you'll be fine.
Have you ever launched before? The trick to a good launch is re-understanding how to use the clutch. In the MSF they say it that the throttle controls power, but the clutch controls power to the road. That's about right. You want to keep the engine in the nice meaty part of the power. As you slip the clutch out, keep the engine in that meat by rolling on. Keep the front end on the ground with the clutch slipping. This way the engine doesn't bog down and then have to catch up. By the time you've got the clutch fully engaged you'll be crossing 60mph and desperately looking for second. No wonder people love pulling away on sportbikes![Big Grin](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Either way - the lower weight of the cbr will make it much much easier to launch quickly. The question really is - does he have enough torque to pull past you at the end of the run. That becomes a question of gearing. He might make more hp than you, but what is the width of usable power? He might not have enough gears to stick in that band of power. Also - he doesn't have a full fairing made for this... he should top out long before you.
